"The triple recognition further highlighted Julius Berger’s contribution to infrastructure development, particularly in the delivery of highways, bridges, industrial facilities and other major engineering projects across the country."

Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has clinched three major awards at the 2026 Eurocham Nigeria Annual General Meeting and Gala Awards Night in Lagos.

The construction giant emerged winner in the Construction & Infrastructure, Local Content & Skills Training, and Heavy Machinery & Engineering categories at the event held at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island.

The awards, which were determined through a public online voting process, recognised organisations that have demonstrated excellence, innovation and significant contributions to Nigeria’s economic development.

The triple recognition further highlighted Julius Berger’s contribution to infrastructure development, particularly in the delivery of highways, bridges, industrial facilities and other major engineering projects across the country.

The company was also recognised for its investment in local talent development through skills acquisition, technical training and knowledge-transfer programmes aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s workforce and building capacity in the construction industry.

Receiving the awards on behalf of the company, Julius Berger’s Region West Technical Manager, Engr. Christl Thomas, expressed appreciation to Eurocham Nigeria and dedicated the honours to the company’s employees, clients, partners and other stakeholders.

Thomas said the recognition would encourage the company to continue raising standards in project delivery while pursuing innovative, sustainable and high-quality solutions that contribute to national development.

The Construction & Infrastructure Award acknowledged Julius Berger’s delivery of critical projects supporting national growth and connectivity, while the Local Content & Skills Training Award recognised its efforts in developing Nigerian professionals and expanding local capacity.

The Heavy Machinery & Engineering Award, on the other hand, recognised the company’s technical expertise, equipment capabilities and capacity to execute complex engineering projects.

The awards were presented as part of Eurocham Nigeria’s 8th AGM and Gala & Awards Night, which brought together business leaders, diplomats, policymakers and captains of industry from the European-Nigerian business community.

The organisers described the event as a celebration of corporate excellence, innovation, leadership and partnership, saying it reflected the strength of the European-Nigerian business ecosystem.

For Julius Berger, the triple award haul further reinforces its position as a major player in Nigeria’s engineering and construction sector and a key partner in the country’s infrastructure development.
